This study investigated the information needs and seeking behaviour of nurses in Kogi state hospital management board. The descriptive survey design was adopted for this study. The population of the study is 1000 health workers drawn from Okene specialist hospital, Kabba specialist hospital, Idah specialist hospital, all in Kogi state. A questionnaire titled: information needs and information seeking behavior of nurses were instruments used in collection of data. As a heterogeneous group a proportionate random sampling technique was used in other to give each of the hospital’s board studied an equal opportunity of being represented. The questionnaire was face validated by three experts who read through and made necessary corrections to ensure clarity, proper phrasing, suitabi1it and comprehensiveness of the questionnaire items and corrections made were carefully integrated in the final instrument for data collection. The questionnaire was distributed to the respondents with the help of two research assistants each from the companies who are also staff in-charge of duty roasters. The questionnaire was collected after five (5) working days. Data gathered was analysed using frequencies, mean and standard deviation. In all, 192 of the 225 copies of the questionnaire were returned and found usable for data analysis. Result revealed interpersonal communication with hospital patients, colleagues/expatriates project Drawings/Data Alignment Sheets. lecture notes and private diaries from seminar conferences, and field guide books, CD-ROMs and online databases via the internet were the major information sources of nurses to meet their information needs. Lack of internet access in remote areas, lack of trust on the reliability of existing of information sources are the major challenges nurses encounter in accessing desired information. The study concluded that based on the findings made, an effective information system can be designed which will not only meet the information needs of nurses in a way that can be understood and applied, but also to draw deeper learning from the findings as it relates to the kind of information nurse’s needs. the factors that influence their information seeking, information sources they consult, the challenges they encountered in accessing desired information and the likely strategies that could enhance their access to desired information. The study recommends the need for nurses to provide wireless network services in remote areas for their workers so as to assist them carry out their health record services in highly remote areas of Kogi state. Also the hospital libraries and corresponding information agencies should provide health, safety and emergency information to workers that will enable them to operate safely since this is the major information they need

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is worldwide forage and grown in different environmental conditions. This high geographical adaptation stimulates the genetic variation and gives breeders the possibility of using highly diverse gene pools. In this work five of Egyptian alfalfa (Medicago sativa L) cultivars of different geographic origin (Ismailia 1, Ismailia 2, Nubaria 1, Ramah and Sewi) in addition to the Australian cultivar (Medicago truncatula ) to complete a set of six cultivars represent six genotypes were evaluated for their responses to water regime on the level of some morphological characters such as flag leaf, stem diameter, plant height, leaf length and weight of 1000 grains then undergone a test for their genetic diversity with two selected molecular markers SSR and ISSR . The ISSR marker is more discriminating, provides more informative data than SSR marker. The five used ISSR primers succeeded in identifying four positive markers, the A1 & A2 primers generated positive bands at molecular size 650 & 510 bp in Nubaria 1 & Australian respectively which positively mark the width of flag leaf, stem diameter plant height and the pods productivity when correlates the obtained ISSR results with some of yield traits. The Sewi, Ramah and Australian cultivars which scored the highest plant and larger leaves under water regime are close relatives and genes can flow smoothly among them to produce new Alfalfa genotype with high tolerance to water deficit. Also, Ismailia 1 & 2 and Nubaria 1 are close relatives can exchange genes in between smoothly.

School-Based Management (SBM) is a popular strategy which used to improve quality of education and educational performance by transferring significant decision-making authority from state to individual schools. In order to strengthen the concept of SBM different programs are implemented at the school level in various countries around the world. This study examined how School Based Management is implemented in different categories of secondary schools in Sri Lanka. The objectives of this study were to find out the role of the School Development Committee (SDC), examine what type of School Based Professional Teacher Development (SBPTD) Programs are being implemented and identify constraints that prevents School Based Management being implemented effectively in the schools. Altogether 08 schools, 08 principals, 08 members of the SDC and 200 teachers were selected for the study. Both questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to gather necessary data. The findings revealed that a significant number of teachers (72%) do not engage in different roles as SDC members and SBPTD programmes in their schools. The study further revealed that lack of positive and timely response from the community and the education authorities in Sri Lanka on significant issues affect the smooth, efficient and effective implementation of SBM in different categories of schools.

From ages past, managing the attendance using traditional approach is really a cumbersome process. Marking or taking of attendance has been one of the best ways to keep records and tracks of students in schools, colleges and the likes. The most widely known method of taking students attendance in higher institutions today is the manual method in which students put down their names and matriculation numbers on a sheet of paper and at the end of each lecture, the lecturer calls the students names or student’s identification number (matriculation number). The case study for this research, The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, operates on the manual way of taking students’ attendance. This old system requires students to put down their names and matriculation numbers on a sheet of paper at every lecture. These papers are then submitted to the lecturer in charge on a weekly basis. It was observed that most lecturers do misplace the attendance list submitted by the students. The main aim of this paper is to develop a mobile-based application to reduce the time spent on manual operations, curb loosing of attendance records and curb manipulation of attendance records. This system is designed only to be operated or used by the lecturer (user), the system will accept input of course data such as course code and course title, also accept student data like student name and student matriculation number. We also sampled the lecturers' opinion, via administering the questionnaire, on the existing way taking attendance in class and the new system to be developed. Furthermore, we utilized SPSS to analyze the questionnaire.

Youth unemployment has become one of Nigeria’s greatest challenges for economic growth. One expects that any employment generated should be readily filled up without delay, given the high level of unemployment rate in the nation. But that is not always the case because the teeming population of young graduates failed to demonstrate the employability abilities necessary to take-up and keep the few available jobs. This remains a source of concern, and one question in this regard is whether the level of learning (academic and vocational) achievement attained by Nigerian graduates is adequate or not. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between learning achievement and employability skill in Nigeria. A survey research was adopted for the study. 384 entrepreneur were selected from the total population of 22500 entrepreneurs in Ogun State Nigerian (Ogun Business.com). Respondent were selected base on multi stage (stratified, quota and random) sampling techniques. The necessary data were collected with a questionnaire tagged employability scale. The psychometric properties (validity and reliability) of the instrument were verified during a pilot survey of 50 participants, with the aid of component factor analysis and cronbach alpha analysis respectively. The hypotheses test was conducted via regression analysis with the aid of SPSS. The finding of this study revealed that: there is a significant statistical relationship between employability skills and learning achievement (B=.928, t= 76.055, p<.05); that leaning achievement is a potent factor in prediction of employability skill (r2 =.969); that learning achievement and employability skills are good correlates (r=.97). Base on the findings it was recommended that higher educational institutions should enhance their curriculum to suit the employability need of their graduating students.

The aim of this study is to determine the motives for consumers' Adoption of Islamic banking products and services in Turkey, and the role of Fintech as a mediator for the Adoption of Islamic Banking services and products. Using a sample of 385 participants who are currently consumers of Islamic banking products and services, and potential customers of Islamic banking services. The study applied the quantitative method of descriptive analysis and used structural equations modeling of partial least squares PLSPM in the R programming language. The results showed the importance of the FinTech mediation relationship between the independent variables (attitudes, subjective standards, and perceived behavioral control) and the dependent variable (adopting Turkish Islamic banking products and services. This study is useful for the upper managerial authorities to enhance the adoption and customers' trust in Islamic banking, and decision-makers, managers of Islamic banks, and economic experts can effectively increase their allocated base that Islamic banking, and achieve the Turkish government's goals of making Istanbul the capital of the Islamic economy. It is recommended to conduct further research using the same method of Islamic banking with the inclusion of unaudited variables example organizational culture, and economic and political stability can also be used as a mediator to assess the relationship between the factors of developing Islamic banking services.

This study was carried out to investigate the bio-ecology of the Upper River Niger at Lokoja, Kogi State. Sampling points were chosen based on the human activities of the area, five sampling points of station 1,2,3,4 and 5 were considered, these areas are Ganaja Village, Gadumo, Adankolo, Kpata market and New Market. Analysis of the water samples for Water temperature, pH, water depth, turbidity and electrical conductivity were determined in situ. Analysis for the various physicochemical parameters were done using the method described by APHA (1998). A total number of 5505 fish were caught, belonging to twenty (20) fish species in 11 fish families. These fish species are Arius gigas, Bagrus bayad macropterus, Bagrus domac niger, Chromidotilapia guntheri, Citharus latus, Gnathonemus tamandua, Heterobranchus longifilis, Heterotis niloticus, Hydrocynus brevis, Hydrocynus lineatus, Malapterurus electricus, Marcusenius brachistius, Mormyrops deliciousus, Mormyrus macrophthalmus, Oreochromis niloticus, Parachanna obseura, Synodontis budgetti, Synodontis courteti, Tilapia guineensis and Tilapia zilli. Significant variation (p≤0.05) exists between the wet and dry seasons in the physico-chemical parameters of Upper River Niger, Kogi State; electrical conductivity (wet: 0.07, dry: 0.44), total dissolved solids (wet: 57.43, dry: 155.73), sulphate (wet: 0.86, dry: 2.76), sodium (wet: 7.73, dry: 5.11), total hardness (wet: 6.77, dry: 7.68), magnesium (wet: 0.63, dry: 5.49), nitrate (wet: 0.58, dry: 1.32) and temperature (wet: 29.23, dry: 25.50) while no significant variation (p>0.05) exist in the iron (wet: 0.5, dry: 0.65), dissolved oxygen (wet: 6.28, dry: 6.59) and pH (wet: 7.56, dry: 6.99). This study revealed that Upper River Niger at Lokoja is gradually deteriorating, as well as there is reduction in fish species diversity as a result of over exploitation. There is therefore the need for the government to develop policies that will help in the controlled use of the River.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that contributed to high crime rates in Nigeria. The statistical techniques used to carry out the analysis include; correlation: to check the relationship in between the factors, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Statistic(KMO):to check the sampling adequacy of the data used, Bartlett’s test:to identify the data used if it is significant and appropriate for factor analysis and Principal Component Analysis (PCA):to reduce the dimensionality of the large data set and retain factors whose eigenvalues are greater than one according to the rule. Therefore, the result from the correlation showed that there was a strong positive relationship in between the following factors; unemployment, neglect of parents, bad habits from friends, bad government and religion which implies that they can be used to predict one another. On the hands of KMO statistic and Bartlett’s test, the results revealed that there was sampling adequacy in the study with KMO = .630 and the data used for this study are significant and appropriate for factor analysis because (X^2=672.365,P-value<0.001) which is less than 5% level of significance. Finally, results from PCA retained only five PCs that could be used to explain a total of 62.296% variation that causes the high crime rates in Nigeria.

This paper examined the maternal health care utilization and birth outcome among women of reproductive ages in Nigeria. Improvements in maternal and child health (MCH) are two of the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); a global health and international development agenda. The antenatal care utilization and birth outcome is measured as whether health care service is utilized by pregnant women as well as her birth outcome (alive or dead), and the impacts of some socioeconomic and maternal related factors on these are determined. Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) with Independence, Exchangeable and Autoregressive (AR (1)) working correlation matrices was used to estimate these determinants. The models suggested that the estimates of the regression coefficients are different, even for the estimates of the associated standard errors. The results reveal that Place of residence, Region and the educational status have significantly positive association with the odds of health care service utilization and birth outcome among women of reproductive ages in Nigeria. While place of residence was found to be negatively associated with the odds of ‘Home’ delivery and having a ‘Dead’ child birth outcome

In recent times, the pandemic has brought about a paralytic set of conditions, proving to be a “black swan” event that no economy was ready for. The unprecedented and sudden fall in demand, disruption in production, supply chain hiatus, imbalance in costs, change in consumer requirement and mindset, unsatisfactory and irregular sales, steep drop in output, etc. have had businesses on their toes for finances. It impacted every single aspect of life as we know it. At the workplace, it introduced an abrupt disruption to which eventually corporates were able to adjust to- but at the cost of hours of productivity, financial loss, extensive trial and error and heavy dependency on technology. One such aspect is Supply Chain Management. At a point where production halted worldwide, supply-demand more turbulent than ever, and the future astonishingly ominous, supply chains irrespective of industry and scale, fell apart. While supply chain 4.0 was underway since long before the pandemic, it was simply accelerated with the onset of COVID-19. The objective of this article is to understand how supply chain practices have transitioned over time in order to be more resilient to disruptions.

The next step in the evolution of manufacturing will be the implementation of flexible, scalable systems that produce a product in the most favorable environment using the best available tools, techniques, and resources to achieve significant cost savings, increased productivity, and long-term benefits. Through a review of relevant literature and a series of case studies, this study assessed the efficiency of sustainable manufacturing at the plant and line levels. The study's basis was the influence of economic, social, and environmental aspects on manufacturing sustainability. Discussions on the fundamental approaches for analysing the performance of sustainable manufacturing at various production levels had taken place throughout the research. This study also extensively analysed the approaches currently used to analyse sustainable manufacturing performance, and it explored and examined the challenges encountered. These approaches are addressed in this study through a case study of a recycle-friendly automotive aluminium alloy business and production of carbonated bottled drinks. The framework is then used to suggest a thorough set of approaches for analysing sustainable manufacturing at the plant and production line levels.

This study aims to determine the effect of Non-Performing Loans and loan to deposit ratios on return on assets in the banking sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 10 years at conventional commercial banks from 2011-2020. This study uses panel data consisting of 14 conventional commercial banks listed on the IDX and uses time series data from 2011 to 2021. The regression used is static panel data regression. The results show that the NPL variable has a negative and significant effect on ROA with a probability level of 0.0002 which is less than the α level of 5% with a coefficient of -0.253098 if the NPL increases by 1% it will reduce ROA by 0.253098%. if there is an increase in bad loans this will reduce bank profits and slow down bank activity cycles, in very bad conditions it can even result in a decrease in the bank's ability to guarantee funds raised from the public, and allow systemic risk to occur.
