A field experiment was carried out during 2020 and 2021 seasons to examine the effects of different overhead shading net colors (white and blue) on fruit cracking percentage, productivity, leaf chlorophyll and leaf mineral content, also fruit quality of M 116 pomegranate trees grown under sandy soil conditions compared with the farm treatment (coving fruits with Kraft paper) and the untreated trees (control). The obtained results showed that shading pomegranate trees with blue or white net significantly increased number of fruits per tree, the total yield (kg), fruit weight (g) and reduced fruit cracking percentage when compared with the control and farm treatments. Blue and white colors surpassed the other treatments including the untreated trees in the most parameters under investigation. Finally, it could be recommended that shading pomegranate trees with blue followed by the white one are beneficial for maintaining good fruit quality with high yield. Additionally these treatments reduced the fruit cracking percentage compared with the other ones.

Traditional medicine and healing has been part and parcel of the communities and peoples of the Bamenda Grasslands of Cameroon since pre-colonial times and has stood the test of time. Traditional medicine and healing in the Bamenda Grasslands was sustained through constant practice, tolerance, research and innovation. If the Bamenda Grasslands is popular in Cameroons social settings, it is largely due to the influence of traditional medicine. It is in this context that this paper seeks to examine traditional medicine as a measure in disease treatment within the Bamenda Grasslands since the pre-colonial era. The paper further probes into the dynamics of Bamenda Grassfields traditional medicine. It builds on primary and secondary data to show that traditional medicine and healing helped in no small way in the treatment of prevalent diseases and contributed to the welfare of the people of the Cameroon Grasslands.

Investors are confronted with the difficulties or issues of settling on a choice as far as deciding when to contribute, regardless of whether to contribute. An investor can reduce decision-related risk by using financial reporting information. the study aims to investigate the impact of corporate financial reporting on investors’ confidence using some quoted industrial companies in Nigeria. The study used secondary data by adopting an ex-post factor resign design through the use of a purposive sampling technique to select ten (10) listed industrial companies from the Nigeria Group Exchange. The paper was analyzed using descriptive and panel regression analysis. The study result found that corporate financial reporting significantly affects investors’ confidence (Adj. R2 = 0.541; F statistics = 4.73; p-value = 0.004). Audit firm size moderately affects the effect of corporate financial reporting on investor confidence in some listed industrial companies in Nigeria (Adj. R2 = 0.579; F statistic =5.18, p-value =0.001). Thus, the study recommended that investors maintain their current confidence level. Also, the investors, as well as the managers, can work on developing the legal framework for corporate financial reporting in light of the suggested framework being developed, and finally inspiring financial reporting, managerial, institutional and regulatory studies and research that lead to the best practices for meeting compliance obligations.
